Mission The Electronics Technology Program seeks to equip its students with the technical knowledge, practical skills, and professional ethical values required in the field of electronics. The program aims to cultivate professionals who effectively use technology, generate innovative solutions, and demonstrate competence in system design, maintenance, and repair processes. Through a curriculum aligned with national and international industry standards, hands-on laboratory applications, project-based work, and industry collaborations, the program strives to ensure that its graduates become successful and sought-after individuals in both local and global electronics and automation sectors.
Occupational Profiles of Graduates With Examples
The electronics sector, with its continuously evolving structure and high employment potential, offers extensive career opportunities to its graduates. The Electronics Technology Program provides education geared towards a professional field where graduates have an advantage in employment and where the demand for qualified technical personnel in the industry remains consistently high. Graduates of the Associate Degree in Electronics Technology can work as technical specialists in the design, installation, maintenance, and repair of electronic systems. After graduation, they may be employed in public and private sector organizations operating in the electrical and electronics field. Additionally, graduates who meet the necessary requirements can take the Public Personnel Selection Exam (KPSS) and be employed as technicians in public institutions and organizations. Graduates may find positions in telecommunications companies, defense industry organizations, industrial automation firms, energy generation and distribution companies, consumer electronics manufacturers, medical device production and maintenance companies, IT infrastructure service providers, and R&D centers. They also have the opportunity to establish their own technical service and maintenance workshops. Moreover, there are opportunities in various specialized areas such as security systems, smart building technologies, renewable energy systems, automotive electronics, communication infrastructures, and measurement and control systems. Graduates wishing to work abroad can enhance their competitiveness in the global job market by participating in international certification programs and improving their foreign language skills. With a broad professional spectrum, graduates of the Electronics Technology Program have the opportunity to pursue careers both domestically and internationally.
Access to Further Studies
Program graduates can be placed in relevant four-year undergraduate programs through the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS), administered annually by ÖSYM. You can find a list of relevant undergraduate programs available for vertical transfer in the ÖSYM DGS Guide.
